I’m Watching

I have been glued to Twitter for weeks now, so much so that I don’t have time to blog. One scandal follows another and the measly-mouthed republicans can’t even acknowledge what is plain to a blind man.

Graham, Jordan et al., are an absolute disgrace as they try to switch the narrative on what is a perfectly obvious case of treason.

Now Pompeo and Barr are implicated and it seems they are just going to ignore the law.

I’m exhausted from following the news. I wake at 3 or 4am in the morning, grab my phone and end up awake for hours wondering what the hell is going on and how can they be stopped.

In other news, my darling Ali’s right leg went yesterday.  So she is now basically crippled. She can’t move and I had to witness the distressing sight of her trying to crawl on the floor with her front paws and then collapsing in pain.

We took her to the vet this morning and she is filled with painkillers – Ali, not the vet.

Decisions will have to be taken in the next week.

I have cried all day.

Such heartache as our sweet pets age.

  7. Oh, Irishgirl, I’m so sorry. Thank you for sharing Ali with us. She is one of my favorite dogs in the whole wide world even though I only know her from your blog, or was it way back yonder at the mudflats? I love her because she loves you and she has brought so much love and joy to your family.

My mother, of blessed memory, found solace in the Psalms. As a nurse, she was also a firm believer in the healing power of tears. That and a long, warm soak in the tub.

Psalm 56:8. Tears are prayers too; they travel to God when we can’t speak.

You are strong and brave and dearly loved. Your heart will guide you. Ali knows how much you love her.

Sending you much love and prayers for peace.
thatcrowdog sends love and sweet dreams to Ali.
