Donald Will Not Make It On Time

When I went to college, I had a part-time bar job right across from the lab I was working in. There was one very elderly customer who came in every day and ordered two pints of Guinness. He was a lovely, quiet man and one knew that he was simply whiling away a part of the day. He was very slow moving. When I shut up the pub at 2.30pm in the afternoon, I would find him still trying to cross at the traffic lights. I would end up taking his arm and because he couldn’t move fast and we couldn’t get across without the lights changing, I had to literally wave at the cars and hope they didn’t mow us down.

When he was in the pub, sometimes he could not make it to the toilet on time. He was just so slow. I used to try and walk him there but more often than not, I was left to mop up the puddle of urine.

My elderly friend could not make it on time. While I didn’t relish the clean up job, I did it.

The GOP have really found themselves in a puddle of smelly urine. And it is not yellow, it is orange. The stench is however overwhelming and I don’t know how anyone can clean it up.

  4. Wonderful .. absolutely wonderful comment IG….I am in awe.

  5. I didn’t caucus at my neighborhood middle school today . . . it had been a loooooong workweek. But I’m proud of the 200,000+ Washingtonians that did turn out this morning to ultimately select The Bern. It’s a great feeling to have a strong showing of citizens that care about equality, climate change, GMO, etc. etc. (The Bern wasn’t my #1 choice, so just as well I tackled housework.)

It’s a lovely story. Now get that mop and bring it over here. We need you.

Maybe that’s what we should do – start a mop up Donald’s mess movement. We can all take the streets with our mops.

PS Now I discover Obama thought of it before me (of course). At least it wasn’t some ancient Greek as per usual. 🙂

Obama, speaking to donors to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), said he didn’t have sympathy for those “sitting on the sidelines and rooting for failure.”

He then embraced a new campaign by the DNC that invites Republicans to “grab a mop” and help clean up what Democrats say is a mess created by the Bush administration.

Donald Trump is a psychotic baboon. He gets away with all his nonsense because the press in the United States allows, even encourages him to do so. The media here is owned by a few major corporations that indulge him because it increases their viewership/advertising/dollars. It’s much like promoting any other reality show.

Donald Trump is not presidential material. He doesn’t have it in him to ever be anything more than the host of a reality show, so the press gave him one. Instead of any kind of debate about foreign policy or domestic issues, the press has allowed Donald to devolve the race into name-calling, attacking his opponent’s wife and the sized of his penis. And, as if being led around by a brass ring through their nose, the press has followed him right down into the pigpen to catch his every word. The National Enquirer is now the newspaper of record. We don’t have a presidential race, we have a reality show and Donald Trump is running it.
