What To Say, What To Say?

I couldn’t find a shorter clip that I could embed.

From what I have seen of the debate, it was simply awful. There was not one person on the stage last night capable of showing an ounce of statesmanship. The disrespect shown towards President Obama was appalling.

Chris Christie having conveniently forgotten about all of the federal help he received from PO and the praise he lavished on PO then, had this to say about the President:

After labeling Obama as a “petulant child,” Christie sent the commander in chief a message.

“I hope the President is watching tonight because here’s what I’d like to tell him,” Christie said. “… We are going to kick your rear end out of the White House come this fall.”

Christie got it wrong. PO will be leaving the White House next January having successfully completed two terms of office. No one is kicking him anywhere.

Rubio went on a crazy rant about guns, accusing PO of trying to take away American’s guns and generally making shit up, finishing up that rant with this…

“I like Chris Christie,” said Rubio, “ but we can’t afford to have a president of the United States that supports gun control.”

You should have seen the shocked response to that in the comments in The Guardian. This little pimp, wanabee presidential hopeful actually said that. I’m surprised that more isn’t being made of it.

Of course, Cruz and Trump got into the whole birther issue. Their “bromance” is over, and much like Dakota and Bristol, they ain’t gazing into each other’s eyes anymore. The gloves are off.

Cruz insulted New York values in an effort to pander to Iowans. That really didn’t work out too well.

Of course, all of them are gung-ho about bombing Iran. The sight of the sailors on their knees was too much for their delicate sensibilities. Hell, they would have just gone in and wiped Iran off the face of the earth along with the ten soldiers that they are so concerned about. No diplomacy for them. That’s for sissies.

Carson again looked as if he could barely stay awake. Bush is boring. If I was forced to pick one of those men on the stage last night, it would be Kasich. Of course he didn’t get a look in.

These Republican candidates are single-handedly destroying America’s reputation around the world. What a shame, because President Obama did so much to repair the tarnished image the other Bush left behind.

I hope the GOP goes down in flames sooner, rather than later, because if they don’t, they will take the rest of the world with them. We are watching in horror as this plays out.

  3. This week at a mandatory work event for all employees, I was in a small waiting area sitting behind 2 police officers. One grey haired, white male opened up the conversation with the asian officer asking him about his opinions of Trump. It was the afternoon prior to debate time. The asian officer stated over a series of back and forths of repub. candidates that he was a Democrat. Mr. Republican then began some ‘one note’ relentless questioning of ‘Why would you be that?’ They are officers, so I understand their necessary questioning style when on duty. This was pretty one sided, although the Democratic officer was very easy in responding and sharing his opinions without the harshness that I felt the Republican was showing. It was truly an interesting back and forth to watch in front of me. Even more so as my experience with the PD has led me to believe that with the gun issue and often military training they have, they tend to sway Republican. This officer was all for Hillary. Made me proud and hopeful that there are way more of us then them ! We’re just not so driven to be in your face about our beliefs.
