Palin Quits Naperville Book-Signing

gobshite

Well lookie here…

Courtesy of The Daily Herald:

Sarah Palin may be able to spot Russia from her house, but she won’t be seeing Naperville anytime soon.

The former governor of Alaska and the first Republican woman to run for vice president has canceled a book-signing appearance originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Naperville Marriott Hotel.

The event was sponsored by Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville. “This cancellation is due to circumstances out of the control of Anderson’s Bookshops,” the store said in a statement released Wednesday afternoon.

So I popped over to Amazon to have a gander at her rankings.

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #646 in Books

This was up around #1000 earlier today, so I imagine that SarahPAC is probably doing some bulk buying. While I was at Amazon, I read her biography.

Sarah Palin grew up in Alaska towns, from Skagway to Wasilla to Anchorage, while her dad taught science and coached high school sports. (Wrong, Sarah never grew up). She and her future husband, Todd Palin, graduated from Wasilla High School in 1982, and she went on to earn her college degree from the School of Journalism at the University of Idaho.(Rilly?) Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council, then two terms as the city’s mayor and manager, (and was persuaded not to quit by her FIL) and was elected by her peers as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. She then chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. (And quit). Palin was elected Alaska’s youngest, and first female, governor, serving from 2006 to 2009. (Then she quit). While serving her state she was tapped as Senator John McCain’s running mate in 2008, becoming the first female Republican vice presidential candidate in our nation’s history. (And the laughing-stock of the entire world).

The Palins reside in Wasilla with their five  (four) children, including a son in the U.S. Army, (last I heard he was wandering around a liquor store in Wasilla)  and one grandson. (Poor Kyla never gets mentioned and we will never know exactly how many babbies Bristol has produced. I think it’s four but it could be as high as five, with another one currently being hidden and lied about). They enjoy an extended family throughout Alaska and the Lower 48. (Shame they don’t know who the baby daddies are – but they are out there somewhere).

So there you have it. Sarah Palin has quit her book-signing in Naperville. Snigger.

The Donald has summoned her to The Tower asap – after her Garage Day Food Festival of course- he decided he needed to balance his ticket with someone possessing political experience, foreign policy knowledge, and honesty.

    hee hee hee 🙂

Can you just imagine being at her Garage Day Food Festival? I can. So I think I will give it a miss. 😉

She has also cancelled a Dallas signing the following day.

Hmm, if the book isn’t selling well, and it appears that is the case, seems that personal appearances would be a way to help sales. In fact, that is why personal appearances are scheduled for authors when they publish new books.

Maybe Quitter got word that some Po’gaters were planning on showing up for the Naperville book signing. Or maybe she just felt it was time to quit something again. And why worry about book sales when her slush fund takes care of that? Book signings are hard work!

I hope the IRS called her home for an audit!

Track was never in the US Army..he’s in the Alaska National Guard. Wonder why it doesn’t say he’s a ‘combat vet?’ Is Sarah afraid of reprisals from the Guard if she lies? Also, too, on her FB page, someone from the Dallas bookstore says the entire tour is cancelled. So Sarah found one more thing to quit. I do wonder why Kayla is never mentioned as a grandchild of hers. Does she have to pay Track every time she mentions her?

  7. Pearl says:

I wonder if this is true and Palin caught wind of it?

  8. Pearl says:

Is it customary to have to buy tickets for a book signing? Palin’s charging $27.90. It includes the book that would be best suited for kindling, or summoning demons, whatever you inclination may be.

What in the world is up with this?:
PLEASE NOTE: that no bags, purses, or cell phones will be allowed at the signing table. We will have a place to leave your items (within your sight) as you approach the table and then retrieve them as you are leaving the area, but it will be easiest if you bring as little as possible into the venue.

WHAT? No mention of firearms, one of $carah’s reasons for “freedom”? Seems as though “living vibrantly” is not so much fun, she seems terrified of something, doesn’t she? What a letdown, all those preparations for a handful of attendees. The book publlsher must be upset, this has been a total flop. I read that Bristles is shopping around baby photos to the highest bidder. Who needs to see another one of her “mistakes”? When will these people just get it through their thick skulls that we are sick and tired of the entire clan of grifters? So Bristles is having, or already had, her 5th. child while unmarried. Ho hum, big deal. Get back to us if she EVER snags a husband, THAT will be newsworthy.

      • Moles says:

        Is that even legal?

    • Pearl says:

Just as I thought, only fabulously famous people “might” sell tickets. As usual, the Wasilla Wombat is showing us her delusional inflated sense of worth.

      • Pearl says:

It’s a signing line only event. She wouldn’t even even be reading anything out of “her” book or answering questions like real authors do. I’d bet anything she hasn’t read the whole thing.
