Shortly after 8 p.m., the meeting ended with a tentative consensus. No one had figured out how to satisfy 14 campaigns that all wanted prime time spotlights. But everyone agreed that the debates needed opening and closing statements — 30 seconds would be fine. (Several campaigns felt that CNBC had reneged on a similar idea, turning opening statements into a hectoring opening question about the candidates’ greatest weaknesses.) Everyone wanted equal speaking time, untethered to moderator prerogatives or candidates’ polling positions. And everyone wanted the candidates to choose the moderators, reducing the role of the Republican National Committee to logistics and ticketing.

They don’t want any gotcha questions either! And the new rules won’t be applied to the Fox debate.

This is a complete joke. Rinsed Penis must be feeling pretty sick about now. His posse of clowns have turned on the RNC and taken matters into their own hands. Whether the networks will agree to this is another question, but they probably will because of all the advertising revenue the debates generate.

What a shower of little cowards. Putin I’ll bet is enjoying this. Trump and Carson have taken over and the GOP continues its descent into madness.

Where will it all end?

excellent! All the GOP candidates rebelled over working conditions, they organized, formed a union and threatened a strike to get greater control over the production.

      GOP is pro-union! who knew?

Donald Trump and his advisers have decided to work directly with television executives and take a lead role in negotiating the format and content of primary debates, which have become highly watched and crucial events in the 2016 race, according to Republicans familiar with their plans.

Trump plans to reject a joint letter to television network hosts regarding upcoming primary debates drafted Sunday at a private gathering of operatives from at least 11 presidential campaigns, the Republicans said.

In that entire group there is not a single person qualified to be President. Not a single one fit to polish President Obama’s shoes. The gop/tp partiy gets more and more stupid with each election, promoting idiots such as these. They should ALL be subjected to the grilling President Obama got from Steve Croft on “60 Minuites” THEN they would have something to complain about. He was disrespectful and very rude to the President. President Obama kept his cool. Trump would have walked out, Cruz would have told him he should ask someone else those questions and Christie would have shouted right into his face. Why do the voters tolerate these sub par candidates? Democratic voters want INTELLIGENT people to represent them in the WH. Obviously the repubs. do not care how crazy their candidates are just as long as they have an R behind their names. Has Cruz ever disclosed his long form birth certificate, or do he get a pass? Fugly SOB is Canadian, and a puppet for his nutty religious whacko father. Jeb! should fold up his tent and go do all those “cool” things he claims he could be doing. He might be the smart one, but obviously the gene pool is very, very shallow.
