The Plan

I won’t give a date because some C4P eedjit might be waiting for me with a semi-automatic.

We arrive (daughter and I) in the Noe Valley. We have a full week to explore SF. Alcatraz is top of the list. I am furiously trying to research things to do in SF that are free… I have to keep DD away from the shops. I’m thinking hiking and cocktails in the happy hour. Lands End for a day. Marin County.

Then we start our train trip – Monterey for a day. SLO for two nights. I have booked a foodie tour there. Santa Barbara for two nights also and too. We’ll wing it.

Finally down to SD to visit my son. As he said, “This should be amusing.”

This is my last hurrah.

Hubby has told me that this is it. No more holidays…..

Oh, and fuck Sarah Palin.

John’s Grill is a great restaurant. It was the setting for The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett. Find original period furnishings throughout.
Someone stole the original Maltese Falcon statue they had upstairs so it had to be replaced with more security.

If the Aqua Grill on California Street is still open,it’ll knock your socks off.
      Tuna tartare is orgasmic!

You’ll swing by Kansas to see me right? After all, once you’re in the States it is just a hop skip and a jump from one point to the next.
Seriously. Check it out on the map. California and Kansas are only two inches apart.
    I swear.
Have a great time Sweetie. Waiting for pics…….

Coit Tower in SF is an amazing landmark and the view from the windows are well worth the either $6 or $8 to ride the elevator to the top. I am betting you especially you could get some really amazing photographs from the tower. We parked on the street (just so we could experience SF parking on a slant) and walked up the stairs to the tower. The story behind the tower is really cool too. Hope you have a great trip, can’t wait to see the pics and hear the stories.

That is funny- also, I remember the nightmare when tourists try to park and can’t remember which way to turn the wheels- they get out and circle the car for a few minutes scratching their heads 🙂

Don’t forget Lombard Street, I don’t know if it’s been blocked to traffic again but it is a famous landmark not to be missed.
