It is feckin’ freezin’ and and the meese are dancing around the sidewalks. Cept we have no meeses and we don’t have no sidewalks. We have footpaths and dogs that don’t suffer from swayback. They just shit on the footpath.
The pavement is fecking crunchy and also very slippery….I love this! What an adventure to walk to the shop – 2 minutes away. Mind you, I wouldn’t like to live with this, but it is different once in a while.
Happy winter!
I nearly forgot…
FUCK SARAH PALIN
Alan the Irish dude trippin’ out about snow in Ireland….
I don’t speak like that. 🙂
“Tha little Buddha in the garden he’s got fookin’ sno pockets on his little ‘ands!”
Alan sounds stoned…….
Careful now. You won’t be laughing when you land on your ass.
Cat litter comes in handy when you need extra traction.
I am treading very carefully.
Hah! I knew you would, Darlin’. I was just checking. 🙂
Let’s talk smart and cool dogs!

Meh. Cats rule.
Ok. Cats and dogs on a politcal blog. I can live with that.
My cats are very political. I used to put a picture of george in the bottom of their litter box every time I changed it. They did their part. They could do their thing, recycle paper, and make a statement all at the same time. I don’t know who enjoyed it more, me or them.
I’m really tired and I want to go to bed. Prof Canine….behave yourself.
Just have to say that we have had -25 degrees F – with wind chills- here in Altoona for the past week (lots of schools and businesses closed b/c of the cold), and today it finally got into the teens F (Please note: F). We have a heat wave in store this weekend, when temperature might reach 38 F. Drove home through a blizzard last week where one couldn’t see a half a meter in front of my car —50 mph winds and 2 in/hr of snow….took me 2 hours to drive what would normally take 40 minutes
Love you IG, but you need to be in Altoona in January to truly appreciate SNOW and WINTER.
Same here as Psmindivapa – only one state west of him. 6 degrees F right now but supposed to get into the teens, so – HEAT WAVE! However last February I had the misfortune of landing at Shannon during that so-called ‘Darwin’ storm – and on my drive up N67 just north of Ennistymon I had a white-out – corn snow we would call it -first time I saw that in Clare. Thought I had left it behind in the states and drove right into the shit that night – and then power was out for the next 3 days on the Burren… good times.
Okay Larry, I have to ask, corn snow? I come from the land of corn and snow and this is the first time I’ve heard that. Share with me.
When snow falls in small light but hard kernels – about the size of corn kernels – kind of a “snow hail” of sorts. An actual term for some types of snow.
Our snow is gone now, but the west coast has had a major storm.
