Lazy Sunday In Ireland

I woke early this morning, and thought to meself – well I can’t take the sniveling rage donkey today. I listened to the Hallelujah versions that people had posted yesterday and all in all, I felt sort of *hallelujahish.* The weather was glorious today and we have had an Indian summer. Temperatures around 20 degrees celcius. I am still wearing the flip-flops I bought in FLL.

So…I took the dog out for a walk and picked blackberries!!! My hands are torn to shreds, but I haz blackberries.

Then I decided, ah to hell with it and started photographing everything in sight. We have a hazlenut tree and a pear tree in our garden. This year they gave us *mania* from heaven.

_MG_0245Can you spot the pear?

Anyway, yesterday I made a hazelnut and pear/chocolate cake. Yum. Take that Austin you fecker.

Of course, I know that no one believes me…

I bet you don’t think I have a dog either!

_MG_0280Hubby thinks this will keep burglars away.

She is a vicious sun-loving, surfer dude.

    Lovely. Thank you.

Mind you, that dog looks quite terrifying. 😉

Your lazy Sunday doesn’t look so lazy… The dog looks lazy, though.

It’s very warm here in France and our “spring” cleaning is still going on, so no lazy Sunday for us!

We have lazy cats! Son brought out his dog yesterday and the cats disappeared….think they spent all night looking for him. They have crashed in every nook in the house! Got the ceiling done and all the edging. Jon is rolling the walls now. I’m supervising! It makes me tired! Need to make a couple of loaves of banana bread and a peach crisp. Much cooler and cloudy here today. Good day to bake. The heat will be back in a couple of days. Game will be on in a couple of hours so need to get busy. I feel like your dog IG! Those berries looked delicious. What will you do with them? My boys go out before breakfast and eat their way thru the raspberries then come in and have their cereal! If I’m lucky they bring me a few. First year or bearing, so maybe next year I will get a few jars of jam! If I get out before them! Enjoy your day!

I love the pics IG. Especially that fierce attack dog surfer! Also, I love the KD Lang version of Hallelujah. Mike worked at the airport in Montreal and met Leonard Cohen coming off a plane. Said he was friendly. I also had a friend who used to attend parties with a number of writers and poets in Montreal- when they were much younger. I was quite envious.

None for the dog,as it obviously needs to go on a diet.

I will have to post pics of my slim and trim dog tomorrow. I have her out in the garden at the moment jumping fences and doing all sorts of dangerous shenanigans. I hope you are happy!!!!
She is 12!!!! I need to take some viagra or something. Valium would be good too.

I’m enjoying a lazy Sunday too – been a busy week. Yesterday was busy, but in a good way, as my daughter was home from college (just for the day) with her roommate, and I enjoyed a visit from my grandson as well.

R makes a mean blackberry cobbler. We had several this summer, as our BB bush was prolific. I had a semi-lazy Sunday, as we had a few early hours for sitting in garden with a book before thunderstorms and cold front. Temps dropping 20 degrees (F) for tomorrow, so no sandals tomorrow.

Looks like a little slice of paradise. My favorites, blackberries! Yum.

    Lovely photos, IG!

Until the plastic disintegrated, the sign in our kitchen window read “Beware of wife (The dog’s okay)!”
