There really should be a long German word referring to the feeling liberals got whenever Palin said something even more idiotic and offensive than she had before, that combination of shock, disgust, and satisfaction that comes from getting yet more evidence that one of the other side’s leading figures is such an epic nincompoop. Every time, you could almost hear a thousand conservatives plant their faces in their hands.
Palin’s theme was always resentment, the acid bile of the culture war. If you ever felt that you were looked down on by Northeastern elitists, or people with too much education, or condescended to by people who think small towns are rather boring and not the only soil from which morality and patriotism can grow, or laughed at by people who find The Purpose-Driven Life to be a less than profound theological text, Sarah Palin spoke for you. She luxuriated in her grievances—against the establishment, against the media, against everyone from the mightiest politician to the lowliest teenager who happened to knock up her daughter (as Levi Johnston put it at one point, “It’s almost funny, that she’s like, 46 years old, and she’s battling a 19-year-old, and I’m winning”). Resentment was her instrument, her tool, her vehicle and her purpose.
But now Saint Joan of the Tundra will fade from public view. There will be no more reality shows, no more magazine covers, no more speculation about future presidential runs. A couple of years from now, you might say to a friend, “I wonder what Sarah Palin is up to these days?” And they’ll respond, “Who gives a crap?”

The fact that she is already prostituting herself out trying to find a new gig is proof positive that she was “not renewed”. If she was the one who quit, why is she running around trying to find another volcano to spew out of?

Just love her patriotic gaming chips necklace. Gotta admit, I may just miss her glamorous outfits and word salad that gave me comfort knowing it is nice to be “Normal”! We must never forget how close we came to having this idiot as VP. (Voting fraud) These people must never occupy the White House! I have the feeling she will raise her ugly head at every chance she gets. Grifters don’t give up. Can’t wait to see her fashion statement in an orange jumpsuit! Suppose she will still be wearing her red, white and blue beaded bracelet? Have to admit, she’s one of a kind….thank God!
Word is that she got paid $15.85per word – any of us could have chipped in and sent her $16 a word to STFU … since most of her “words” were not even in English or consisted of “hell” and “damn”.

I don’t think anyone is terrified of her. If she quit F*ck, why is she out looking for a job if they wanted to keep her? Second, people are too busy laughing at her total ignorance to be worried about her.
Her fans are all squirrels….running on the Palin treadmill. All 5 of them…

A better way to summarize Palin’s impact is this: she gave a voice to stupid.
Millions of people across the land with lots of angry opinions but little understanding of how government worked suddenly had a champion, someone like them at the highest levels of power. Someone who didn’t make them feel stupid with a bunch of smarty talk. She inspired a lot of stupid people, and energized a new constituency.
That stupid energy became the Tea Party – the big, hulking, stupid anchor chained to the GOP. And that has led to government dysfunction, and diminished prestige. The rest of the world looks with concern at America, and why it looks so stupid all of the sudden.
I love that- “Who gives a crap!” Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I don’t think anyone outside of Alaska was afraid of her. Might have been afraid to say much with her henchmen around to start fires, watering down gas tanks, for my animals and stray bullets, but I don’t think anyone else was afraid of her. She was a big joke. As stupid as they come. The only reason John McCain kept quiet was he was too chicken chit to let anyone know how stupid he was for picking her. Cindy should be charged with treason for inflicting him on our country…paying to get him out of the house! She couldn’t stand Sarah and that family. It just got him out from under her feet. She knew they were both idiots. They pulled the wool over our eyes with W and America had their fill of stupidity. Yet they spent billions to try to get these idiots in office so the corporations could take complete control. Fox hired her to spill her hatred of Obama in hopes he wouldn’t be voted in again. But the majority said NO and we were aware of their tricks to play with the votes. The puppeteers thought the Grizzly was their ticket to get the old white guys marching to the voting booth. And who did they pick to go after President Obama? The clown car with Sarah teasing she could run and beat him. Oops…she was mad at Ailes for slapping her hands and she chose to announce her not running on a radio station instead of FOX. The rest is history. Now she’s damaged goods and is stuck with carrying for a baby she never even birthed to get the vote. I hope She and FOX go down in flames! They deserve each other! Guns, God and Liberty….the stupid fools!
