Wow, was just trying to watch the livestream of the conference and it is pathetic. His attorney claims that Michael was not present at the house at the same time as Jane Doe. Now that seems very odd, because it can be clearly seen on that horrible video that was posted, that one of the boys got up and said he was going to check on her. Nodianos made some disparaging remark to him.
The attorney also claimed that Nodianos didn’t witness anything and was only relaying what others had told him about what had gone on in another house. Yet, if I’m not mistaken, one of the alleged rapists can be clearly seen in the video with him. I’ll check on that later. Ok, I was wrong, it was not Richards… it was someone called Drummond.
I don’t know who Nancy Grace is, but apparently she is now covering the case!
Michael Nodianos isn’t returning to college for the moment. I have been a bit reluctant to go in for the kill on this, and have only reported on what is out there on the internet, as you are innocent until proven guilty…but it appears to me that his attorney has done him no favours.
A lot of what his attorney said can be easily refuted.

The attorney has said Michael is very sorry he made the insensitive and dumb comments. His family is upset.
Their email accounts were hacked into and had to be changed. They had to change their cell phones.
Michael made the decision to leave OSU and his scholarships are still good.
Attorney said Michael was not at the house where the alleged assault happened, had no first hand knowledge of it and showed extremely poor judgement in allowing the film and saying all the things he did.

Thank you for reporting on this. I’m trying to find feedback on the news conference held by the attorney for Michael Nodianos today (1/7/13) and so far, you’re about it! I’m angered and frustrated that this young man can simply avoid prosecution by hiding behind the 1st Amendment, when it’s clear to anyone watching that he obviously was complicit in the event and was on-scene.
Any legal beagles out there have a comment about the fact that she was transported across state lines for this? Wouldn’t that be Federal issue? The burden of proof would be that those transporting her were involved, but that doesn’t seem such a stretch given the reports and witness statements. Not sure, so just asking!

The Mann Act is what you’re referring to. It makes it a federal crime to transport someone across state lines for sex.

Just read your link but my eyes gave out on all the comments. I don’t think this case is going to go away very soon. Seems like the subject of rape by anyone – priests, teachers. politicians, high school football teams is tabu. Sandusky is in prison…sounds like many more need to join him before this country wakes up to the politicians trying to sweep this under the carpet. The all male Catholic hierarchy isn’t about to turn on one another just the same as the law makers are trying to convince us is no big thing and you don’t get pregnant from rape. They want total control over women so rape is inconsequential to them. Just a part of the Dominion teaching. Keep them pregnant and in the kitchen and out of the workforce. They will pay for Viagra but not birth control out the the public coffers/health insurance. RWNJ respect blacks, browns, women as second class citizens. They obviously don’t even respect themselves. They will do anything for money and to stay in office to reap the benefits paid to them by those who want to run our country. This and other rapes are just a symptom of the disease that is destroying our country.
